Employee Engagement Many companies are investing heavily in employee engagement, which is often seen as a "must-have" strategy for leading-edge companies. However, there will be challenges if these activities are incompatible with or resisted by the company's culture. What are your views?

Organizational Culture
While persons can positively impact some aspects of workplace culture by their constant display of professionalism and empathy, the overall culture is established and maintained by the behaviour, endorsement and resources allocated by the Company's Head or the individual with authority to run or ruin the Company. How has this behaviour affected you?
As we automate our processes and increase our productivity, the businesses that are efficient yet still show empathy when interacting with individuals will become the Employers of Choice. Are we seeing this in action?

To get the best from your Team
You cannot change a culture if you continue to surround yourself with only people you appeal to and not introduce the element of diversity in views, opinions, experience, knowledge and insight. How would you put together such a team?

Building Effective and Resilient Teams
This is still good advice if we are serious about building effective and resilient teams:
"The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it."
Theodore Roosevelt
